Strawberry Basil Muffins!

One of our favorite things about local strawberries is their versatility. They can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner, sweet desserts or savory marinades! These Strawberry basil muffins are a perfect combination of sweet and savory and perfect for a breakfast on the go!


  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour (whole wheat or all purpose)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil

Whisk the milk, veg. oil, egg, vanilla and sugar.

Slowly fold the flour, baking powder and salt into the batter.

The batter will be thick, don’t over mix!

Next add your sliced basil and strawberries!


Portion the mix into your muffin cups!

Bake in the over for 25 minutes at 350 degrees until tops are golden brown!


Top with crystal sugar for additional sweetness! Serve and Enjoy!
